A growing equipment dealership is seeking a Preventative Maintenance (PM) & Rental Coordinator based in Southeast Texas to support service operations and manage rental activity for its material handling fleet.

This role serves as a key point of coordination between customers, service technicians, and rental logistics, ensuring equipment uptime, accurate records, and a smooth rental experience.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, track, and manage preventative maintenance for company-owned and rental equipment
  • Coordinate rental activity, including responding to inquiries and preparing rental agreements
  • Assist customers in selecting appropriate rental equipment based on application needs
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries and returns with drivers and logistics teams
  • Perform check-in and check-out inspections to identify damage, maintenance needs, or missing components
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment location, utilization, and service history
  • Support customers with billing questions, equipment issues, or service coordination during rental periods
  • Prepare reports related to fleet utilization, rental revenue, and PM compliance
  • Communicate closely with service, sales, and rental teams to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years of experience in equipment rental, service coordination, or warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with forklift or material handling equipment and basic mechanical concepts
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and deadlines
  • Proficiency with ERP, inventory management, or rental software systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license; forklift operator certification a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
