Position Details & Responsibilities
A leading provider of advanced control systems and electronic solutions is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive growth within its electric systems design division.
This role blends technical expertise with commercial strategy, supporting customers through customized system solutions and full-cycle project execution.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering foundation (electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical) along with customer-facing experience. Individuals with experience in vehicle electrification or fuel-to-electric conversions are highly encouraged to apply.
This position can be based anywhere in Pennsylvania or remotely within the following states: Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, or Wyoming.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a growth plan for electric system design solutions within the assigned territory
- Prospect new customers while strengthening relationships with existing accounts
- Conduct client visits and represent the company at trade shows and industry events
- Analyze customer requirements and develop customized technical proposals
- Perform application calculations and collaborate with engineering teams to design tailored solutions
- Prepare and present technical quotations aligned with cost analysis and market conditions
- Manage projects from concept through delivery, ensuring timelines and customer expectations are met
- Stay current on industry innovations and share insights internally to support commercialization efforts
- Maintain CRM documentation, pipeline activity, and forecasting accuracy

Qualifications
- Background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering required
- 3+ years of experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or similar customer-facing role
- Experience with vehicle electrification or fuel-to-electric conversions strongly preferred
- Strong technical aptitude combined with commercial acumen
- Proven project management experience from planning through execution
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and perform under pressure
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business software
- Willingness to travel as needed
