Position Details & Responsibilities

A leading provider of material handling equipment and industrial solutions is seeking an Account Manager to support and grow business within an assigned territory in Northern Wisconsin. This role is focused on developing new customer relationships while maintaining and expanding existing accounts through a consultative, field-based sales approach.

The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial or equipment sales and a strong ability to understand customer applications and recommend the right solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow territory through regular customer visits, prospecting, and relationship building
  • Identify new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing accounts
  • Analyze customer needs and recommend equipment, services, or solutions
  • Promote product offerings, prepare proposals, and close sales opportunities
  • Coordinate and conduct equipment demonstrations with customers
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, including sales calls, pipeline, and forecasts
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales support and service technicians, to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive offerings
  • Attend trade shows, training sessions, and customer events as needed
  • Assist in resolving customer issues and support long-term account success

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of outside sales experience in material handling, industrial equipment, or related industry
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment and applications
  • Proven ability to build relationships and grow a sales territory
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
