A growing equipment dealership is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to lead sales efforts across the state of Utah, with potential expansion into surrounding regions. This role will focus on promoting specialized equipment solutions within niche markets, working closely with contractors, municipalities, and industry professionals.

This is a field-based position responsible for developing new business, managing existing accounts, and driving both equipment sales and rentals. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment, environmental equipment, or a related industry and is comfortable selling technical products through a consultative approach.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a statewide territory through consistent prospecting, customer visits, and relationship development
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing accounts
  • Promote equipment sales and rental solutions using consultative selling and product demonstrations
  • Prepare quotes, bids, and proposals tailored to customer needs
  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders including operators, mechanics, purchasing teams, and municipal contacts
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, including pipeline tracking, forecasts, and customer interactions
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and industry functions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless support across parts, service, and operations
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of outside sales experience in heavy equipment, environmental equipment, arborist equipment, or related industries
  • Strong ability to demonstrate equipment and explain technical product features and benefits
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Experience working with municipalities or government entities is a plus
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • CDL Class B (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) preferred
  • Ability to travel throughout Utah with occasional overnight travel (approximately 30–40%)
  • Must be able to lift and handle equipment components as needed
