Position Details & Responsibilities
We are partnering with a multi-location equipment dealership group based in Maryland to find them an experienced CFO.
The Chief Financial Officer will play a critical role in building financial discipline, improving operational efficiency, and supporting long-term scalability across the business.
This is a hands-on executive role for a financially driven leader who enjoys building structure, tightening controls, and partnering closely with executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting and finance functions across the organization
- Manage and develop a team of direct reports, including accounting, AR/AP, HR, IT, and the Controller
- Establish, improve, and enforce financial processes, controls, and reporting standards
- Drive expense management, profitability improvement, and process efficiency
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Partner closely with the CEO on strategic initiatives
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting across multiple locations
- Support operational leaders with data-driven insights and financial guidance

Qualifications
- Previous executive-level finance leadership experience within a construction or agricultural equipment dealership is highly preferred
- Proven experience leading accounting teams and cross-functional departments
- Strong focus on process improvement, financial discipline, and operational efficiency
- ERP experience within dealer environments (DIS, CDK, Extend, or similar) preferred
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a transitioning organization
- CPA not required
