A well-established heavy truck dealership is seeking a General Manager to lead its location in Northwest Ohio. This role serves as the senior on-site leader, responsible for overall business performance, operational execution, and team development across multiple departments including sales, service, parts, and support functions.

This is a high-impact leadership position for a results-driven professional who can drive profitability, build strong customer relationships, and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, and other support functions
  • Drive profitability through execution of business plans, budgeting, and performance management
  • Lead and develop department managers, ensuring accountability and strong team performance
  • Oversee sales performance, inventory planning, and forecasting to meet business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, resolving escalated issues as needed
  • Ensure operational efficiency across all departments, including service and fabrication functions
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with internal leadership, vendors, and partners to support business growth
  • Monitor key performance metrics and implement strategies to improve results

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of overall work experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role within a dealership, heavy truck, equipment, or similar environment
  • Prior experience as a General Manager or senior leader with full operational responsibility
  • Proven experience managing multiple departments and leading leaders
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, results-driven operation
  • Strong customer relationship and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in heavy truck, commercial vehicle, or related industries preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
