A growing equipment organization is seeking an Equipment Consultant to develop a new territory across Western Wisconsin. This role is focused on building a book of business from the ground up, identifying new opportunities, and driving market expansion through a consultative, field-based sales approach.

This is a high-impact role ideal for a driven, entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives on creating opportunities, establishing relationships, and growing a territory from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a territory growth plan to establish market presence and drive revenue
  • Prospect and develop new business across municipalities, contractors, and private organizations
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market share in an underdeveloped region
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships through consistent field engagement
  • Guide customers through the full sales cycle, including needs analysis, proposals, and post-sale support
  • Present and demonstrate equipment solutions in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to position products and differentiate from competitors
  • Maintain and manage all sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions within CRM systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support territory development and customer success
  • Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity

Qualifications

 

  • Prior outside sales experience required
  • Strong business development and territory-building experience preferred
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial, “hunter” mentality
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of a new territory
  • Comfortable presenting in field environments, including job sites and outdoor settings
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
