Position Details & Responsibilities
A well-established crane and rigging company in Eastern New York is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to support a wide range of lifting and rigging projects.
This role is responsible for operating cranes safely and efficiently on construction, industrial, and commercial job sites while maintaining a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and teamwork. The ideal candidate brings hands-on crane experience, strong situational awareness, and a commitment to completing work safely and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate mobile cranes and related lifting equipment on a variety of job sites.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required documentation.
- Review lift plans and coordinate closely with rigging crews, signal persons, and site supervisors.
- Execute lifts in accordance with company policies, site requirements, and OSHA regulations.
- Set up, position, and secure cranes based on job specifications and site conditions.
- Communicate clearly with crew members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Identify potential hazards and take proactive steps to mitigate risk.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
- Represent the company professionally with customers, contractors, and job site personnel.

Qualifications
- Prior experience operating cranes in construction, industrial, or rigging environments.
- NCCCO or equivalent crane operator certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of load charts, rigging practices, and lift planning.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active job sites.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must have a Class A or Class B CDL.
