A well-established equipment rental, sales, service, and parts organization is seeking a Branch Manager in Northern New Jersey to lead its operations and drive continued growth. This role is responsible for the overall performance of the business, including revenue growth, profitability, fleet management, customer satisfaction, employee development, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience within the equipment rental industry and possess a proven track record of building high-performing teams, improving operational efficiency, and growing market share. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day operational involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of branch operations, including equipment rental, sales, service, parts, customer support, and overall business performance
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share through strong leadership, strategic planning, and customer relationship management
  • Develop, coach, and support employees while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee fleet utilization, inventory management, operational efficiency, and equipment lifecycle planning
  • Manage branch financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and P&L accountability
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and business partners while identifying opportunities for growth
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operational best practices
  • Monitor key performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, customer satisfaction, and overall business results

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of Branch Manager experience within the equipment rental industry preferred
  • Alternatively, 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within equipment rental, heavy equipment, construction equipment, or a related industry
  • Strong operational, fleet management, and business leadership background
  • Proven experience managing P&L performance, budgets, and financial metrics
  • Experience leading teams and developing employees in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer relationship management and business development skills
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing supplier relationships
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to leverage technology to improve business performance
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
