Position Details & Responsibilities

Our client, an established company in the equipment industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead operations at one of their North Carolina locations.

This role is ideal for a results-driven leader with a strong background in team management, sales, and operational oversight. The General Manager will be responsible for driving business performance, developing staff, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including sales, service, parts, and administrative functions
  • Lead, coach, and develop department managers and team members to achieve performance goals and ensure alignment with company values
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial reports to ensure profitability and identify areas for improvement
  • Create and execute business plans to drive growth and market share in the region
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy, budget planning, and organizational initiatives

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a general management, branch management, or operations role
  • Equipment industry experience preferred
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive business results
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of sales, service, and parts operations
  • Proficient with business systems and reporting tools
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field preferred
