Position Details & Responsibilities

A growing equipment organization is seeking an Equipment Consultant to take over an established territory in Northeast Wisconsin. This role is focused on managing existing accounts while driving new business and expanding market share through a consultative, field-based sales approach.

This is a high-activity role ideal for a driven, self-motivated sales professional who enjoys owning a territory, working directly with customers, and building long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing territory through account development and new business acquisition
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships with current customers while prospecting new accounts
  • Build strong relationships with municipalities, contractors, and private organizations
  • Guide customers through the full sales cycle, including needs analysis, proposals, and post-sale support
  • Present and demonstrate equipment solutions in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Maintain ownership of key accounts and coordinate internal resources to deliver solutions
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to position products and differentiate from competitors
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions within CRM systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support territory growth and customer success
  • Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity

Qualifications

  • Prior outside sales experience required
  • Strong territory management and business development skills
  • Self-motivated with a competitive, “go-getter” mentality
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
  • Comfortable presenting in field environments, including job sites and outdoor settings
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
