A well-established OEM dealership is seeking a Service Manager to lead service operations at one of its West Virginia locations. This role is responsible for driving department performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading a team of technicians and service staff in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can balance operational efficiency, team development, and customer relationships while maintaining a high standard of service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily service department operations, including workflow, scheduling, and repair quality
  • Drive revenue growth and control expenses to meet departmental performance goals
  • Lead, coach, and develop service team members, including technicians, advisors, and foremen
  • Foster a positive, productive work environment through daily communication and team alignment
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing concerns and maintaining strong relationships
  • Review work orders, reports, and performance metrics to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement service programs and initiatives
  • Maintain strong communication across departments, customers, and external partners
  • Conduct occasional customer visits to strengthen relationships and support business growth
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulations

Qualifications

 

  • Prior experience as a Service Manager or Service Foreman within heavy equipment or related industries
  • Strong technical knowledge of equipment repair and service operations
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems and service management tools
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or ability to obtain
