Position Details & Responsibilities

KELLY GENERATOR & EQUIPMENT, INC., and KELLY GENERATOR & EQUIPMENT OF PA & WV, INC., is a full service distributor of emergency standby and prime power located in one of the largest demand markets for power generation in the country. We are located in the mid-Atlantic region servicing Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Northern Virginia, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania.

We offer SALES, SERVICE, PARTS, RENTALS & TRAININGWE PROVIDE RENTAL GENERATORS – 20kW UP TO 1.5 MEGS (1.5 MEGS are available with the ability to provide 9.5 MEGS when paralleled)

We have an opening for a Rentals & Service Sales Representative for our Maryland territory.

Aggressively identify, pursue, grow and close new and existing client base for the RENTAL of mobile generator sets as well as renting load banks.Develop strong relationships with;

  • Electrical and general contractors
  • Home builders
  • Event companies
  • Industrial and commercial end users
  • Rental houses

Maintain and improve relationships with existing and potential customers and follow-up on outstanding opportunities in the power generation market. Develop brand awareness and follow-up with customers throughout the sales process.

As a Service Contract Sales person, you will be developing service business. Your sales will include planned maintenance agreements for generators, KGE extended warranties, and diesel fuel services.

 

Qualifications

A minimum of 6-10 years of outside sales experience, emergency power generation industry or related field experience a plus

BS/BA, AA or High School Diploma, or Vo-Tech. 

  • A successful track record of closing sales, obtaining new business and strong relationship maintenance
  • Excellent customer follow-up, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of diesel and natural gas engine generators or good engine or electrical knowledge as well as the rental industry as a whole is a strong plus
  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and drive for success
