A leading heavy equipment dealership is seeking an experienced President to provide executive leadership for its Southeast operations. This high-impact role is responsible for driving the organization's long-term growth strategy, financial performance, and overall business success across a multi-location dealership network.

The President will oversee all aspects of the region's performance, including sales, operations, customer experience, and strategic planning. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to strengthen market position, develop high-performing teams, expand customer relationships, and drive sustainable profitability. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a proven track record of leading large, multi-location equipment organizations and delivering exceptional business results.

This individual should have experience overseeing organizations with more than $300 million in annual revenue and managing five or more branch locations, while building high-performing leadership teams and fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans that drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term market expansion
  • Lead the overall performance of a multi-location dealership network, ensuring operational excellence across sales, parts, service, rental, and support functions
  • Drive sales strategy and business development initiatives while expanding market share across all customer segments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, manufacturer partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor, and develop executive leaders, regional managers, and sales leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Establish performance metrics and business objectives while monitoring financial and operational results across the organization
  • Oversee regional budgeting, forecasting, P&L performance, and capital planning to achieve financial goals
  • Partner with operations, finance, marketing, and product support teams to align business strategies and enhance the customer experience
  • Utilize business intelligence, CRM systems, and dealership performance metrics to drive data-informed decision making
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top leadership talent while implementing succession planning and leadership development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry safety standards
  • Represent the organization at customer meetings, industry events, trade associations, and manufacturer functions

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of executive leadership experience within the heavy equipment, construction equipment, or related industries
  • Proven success leading a multi-location dealership organization with annual revenues exceeding $300 million
  • Experience overseeing five or more branch locations with responsibility for overall operational and financial performance
  • Demonstrated success leading large sales organizations, including developing high-performing leadership teams and driving measurable revenue growth
  • Extensive experience managing full P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic business planning
  • Strong background overseeing sales, operations, parts, service, rental, and aftermarket support functions within an equipment dealership environment
  • Proven ability to lead organizational growth, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze dealership financial statements, operational metrics, and key performance indicators to drive business decisions
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience partnering with OEMs, executive leadership teams, and major customer accounts
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, dealership management systems, Microsoft Office, and business intelligence tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field required; advanced degree is a plus
