A growing heavy equipment organization is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead and revitalize sales performance across a multi-state region in the Northeast. This executive-level role will oversee a network of locations and sales teams, with a strong focus on improving structure, communication, and overall sales execution.

Candidates must have heavy equipment experience and experience working in a dealership environment at the leadership level.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who understands dealership operations, thrives in building and scaling sales teams, and can drive accountability and results across a complex organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all sales operations across multiple locations within the assigned region
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and improve market performance
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to sales leaders and general managers
  • Establish structure, accountability, and improved communication across the sales organization
  • Evaluate and optimize compensation plans, sales processes, and performance metrics
  • Partner with executive leadership to align sales strategy with overall business objectives
  • Monitor performance across teams, ensuring targets and profitability goals are met
  • Support general managers in managing P&L and driving sales performance at the branch level
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, development, and results
  • Identify gaps, implement improvements, and drive continuous optimization across the organization

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in senior sales leadership within the heavy equipment or dealership environment required
  • Experience building, developing, and leading sales teams across multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of dealership operations, including P&L responsibility and sales structure
  • Ability to lead through influence as a “coach and mentor,” not just a directive leader
  • Experience managing leaders (sales managers/general managers) and large teams indirectly
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and drive change
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
