Position Details & Responsibilities

A leading HVAC equipment manufacturer is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to support customers throughout the Southwestern Ontario market. This is a local, field-based role focused on developing relationships with contractors, consulting engineers, architects, building owners, and other commercial HVAC customers.

The ideal candidate will have commercial HVAC sales experience and a strong technical aptitude. An engineering background is preferred, but candidates with proven technical sales, sales engineering, HVAC systems, controls, or related mechanical experience will also be considered.

This is a local territory with no regular overnight travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial HVAC contractors, engineers, architects, building owners, and other industry partners.
  • Promote and sell commercial HVAC equipment and technical solutions throughout the assigned territory.
  • Provide technical guidance on equipment selection, applications, specifications, and design considerations.
  • Identify new projects and business opportunities while growing existing customer relationships.
  • Manage opportunities from initial project identification through takeoffs, pricing, bidding, follow-up, and order completion.
  • Prepare quotations and coordinate shop drawings, scheduling, deliveries, and other order requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, manufacturing, service, and sales teams to support customers.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of HVAC products, applications, and market conditions.
  • Provide ongoing customer support to encourage repeat business and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC sales, technical sales, sales engineering, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC equipment, systems, applications, or controls.
  • Engineering, mechanical, or electrical background preferred.
  • Technically minded with the ability to translate customer requirements into practical solutions.
  • Strong sales, relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage a local territory.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to travel locally throughout Southwestern Ontario; no regular overnight travel anticipated.
