A growing equipment organization is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead daily shop operations at its Pennsylvania facility in the greater Philadelphia area. This role is responsible for overseeing workflow, supporting technicians, and helping drive a productive, team-oriented service environment focused on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

This is a leadership-focused role ideal for someone who leads by example, communicates well with technicians, and thrives in a fast-paced service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support shop technicians to maintain a productive, high-performing service department
  • Manage workflow, scheduling, and shop efficiency across a busy multi-bay facility
  • Provide guidance and technical support to technicians as needed
  • Review completed work orders and coordinate customer communication regarding repairs and service updates
  • Perform final inspections of equipment prior to customer delivery
  • Build strong customer relationships and help resolve service-related concerns
  • Foster a positive team culture built on accountability, trust, and collaboration
  • Assist with recruiting, developing, and retaining skilled technicians
  • Partner with other department leaders to support overall operational success
  • Maintain high standards for safety, organization, and professionalism within the shop

Qualifications

  • Prior leadership experience within equipment rental, heavy equipment, construction equipment, or dealership service operations
  • Strong background working with aerial lifts, telehandlers, forklifts, or similar equipment preferred
  • Proven ability to lead technicians without micromanaging
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced service environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong organizational skills
  • Experience recruiting and developing technicians is a plus
  • Familiarity with service management systems and shop operations preferred
