A leading equipment rental organization is seeking an experienced Equipment Broker to support the sale and disposition of its aerial construction equipment fleet. This is a highly entrepreneurial role responsible for identifying buyers, negotiating transactions, and managing the complete sales process for new and used equipment throughout North America.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling or brokering high-value equipment assets and possess strong knowledge of aerial lifts, telehandlers, or other construction equipment. This individual should be a proactive relationship builder with a hunter mentality who enjoys sourcing new opportunities and closing complex equipment transactions.

Candidates may be based in the Greater Chicago region, North Texas, or Northwest Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new buyers for used and new construction equipment through prospecting, networking, and industry relationships
  • Manage the complete equipment sales process, including customer qualification, negotiations, documentation, inspections, logistics, and closing
  • Build long-term relationships with equipment rental companies, contractors, dealers, brokers, and fleet owners
  • Market available equipment through online marketplaces, industry contacts, and other sales channels
  • Provide market intelligence regarding equipment values, demand, competitive activity, and pricing trends
  • Coordinate equipment inspections, transportation, financing discussions, and delivery logistics
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms while maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with internal sales, operations, finance, and marketing teams to support fleet disposition strategies
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and transaction documentation
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as needed

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment sales, equipment brokerage, asset remarketing, or equipment rental
  • Strong knowledge of aerial construction equipment, including boom lifts, telehandlers, spider lifts, scissor lifts, or related equipment
  • Proven ability to source new business, negotiate complex transactions, and close high-value equipment sales
  • Experience working with equipment rental companies, dealers, contractors, or fleet operators preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent time management and follow-through
  • Experience coordinating inspections, transportation, and equipment logistics
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel as needed throughout North America
