A well-established, multi-location equipment organization is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to oversee several locations throughout the Central and Southeast regions of Michigan. This individual will provide leadership across branch operations, sales, people development, and overall business performance.

This is a highly visible leadership position for someone who is people-oriented, commercially minded, and comfortable holding teams accountable. Candidates may come from either a strong sales or operations leadership background, provided they have experience leading teams within the equipment industry or a similar multi-location business.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for multiple locations throughout Michigan.
• Drive overall regional performance, including revenue growth, profitability, operational execution, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with established sales leadership to support continued sales growth and market development.
• Develop and support branch leaders while creating consistency and accountability across locations.
• Establish performance expectations and ensure teams are working toward company and regional goals.
• Review financial and operational results and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Maintain regular visibility throughout the region, spending time with employees, customers, and branch leadership.
• Build a strong, collaborative culture while being comfortable addressing performance concerns and having difficult conversations when necessary.
• Support recruiting, employee development, succession planning, and retention across the region.
• Strengthen communication between individual locations and senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer service, and overall business performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers throughout the market.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience within heavy equipment, construction equipment, agriculture equipment, equipment dealerships, rental, or a related industry strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in sales leadership, operations leadership, branch management, or multi-location management.
• Strong understanding of business operations, financial performance, and revenue growth.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop managers and teams.
• People-focused leadership style with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable establishing expectations, holding employees accountable, and navigating difficult conversations.
• Strong business judgment, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an established sales leadership team.
• Must reside within the Michigan territory and be able to travel regularly between locations.
