Position Details & Responsibilities

Location: Northeast U.S. / Eastern Canada
Travel: 50–70%

A well-established construction equipment manufacturer is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead dealer sales and market development throughout the Northeast U.S. and Eastern Canada. This is a highly autonomous, relationship-driven position responsible for supporting existing dealers, developing new dealer partnerships, and increasing equipment sales and market share across a large territory.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced heavy equipment sales professional who enjoys being in the field, building dealer relationships, and developing underrepresented markets. Paving or compaction equipment experience is a plus but is not required - the company is willing to provide product training to the right sales professional.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a dealer network throughout the Northeast U.S. and Eastern Canada.
  • Develop new dealer relationships and rebuild market coverage in areas with opportunities for expansion.
  • Manage the full sales process from prospecting and cold calling through equipment demonstrations, quotations, negotiation, and close.
  • Achieve monthly sales revenue, margin, and market share objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with dealer principals, sales managers, sales representatives, and end-user customers.
  • Conduct regular dealer visits, joint customer calls, equipment demonstrations, and product training.
  • Support dealers in developing new business and increasing retail equipment sales within their markets.
  • Prepare pricing and delivery quotations and coordinate special pricing, financing, terms, and delivery requirements with sales leadership.
  • Monitor competitive activity, pricing, market trends, and equipment sales throughout the territory.
  • Provide product expertise and sales support to dealers and end users.
  • Participate in local, regional, and national trade shows and industry events.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, opportunities, customer information, and forecasts within the CRM.
  • Collaborate with internal Sales, Marketing, and Product Support teams to support dealers and customers.

Territory

The territory includes portions of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S., including markets from West Virginia and Pennsylvania through all of New England, as well as Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. Candidates may be based within the territory, with Northeast-based candidates preferred.
