Position Details & Responsibilities

A manufacturer of equipment attachments is seeking a Product Specialist to join its North American sales team. This unique role bridges the gap between sales and service by providing technical expertise, product demonstrations, and application support to dealers, customers, and the sales team.

This position is ideal for an experienced construction equipment or agricultural equipment technician who is ready to transition out of turning wrenches and into a customer-facing role. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, explaining equipment applications, and helping customers select the right solutions while leveraging their strong mechanical background.

Candidates should be located in Northwest Washington or the greater Denver, Colorado area - within approximately 45 minutes of a major airport to support regional travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert for the company's equipment attachments and product offerings
• Support the sales team by providing product demonstrations, application recommendations, and technical expertise to dealers and end users
• Conduct equipment demonstrations and operator training at customer locations, dealer events, and industry trade shows
• Assist customers in identifying the best equipment solutions based on application, machine compatibility, and jobsite requirements
• Provide technical support to dealers and customers by troubleshooting equipment operation and answering product-related questions
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product support teams to communicate customer feedback and identify opportunities for product improvement
• Train dealer personnel and customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices
• Travel throughout the assigned region to support sales activities, product launches, and customer visits
• Represent the organization at industry events, demonstrations, and dealer meetings
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, equipment technology, and competitive products

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a technician within the construction equipment, agricultural equipment, forestry equipment, or related industry
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment
• Desire to transition into a technical sales or customer support role
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences
• Comfortable conducting live equipment demonstrations and interacting with customers in the field
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while supporting a regional territory
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic business software
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned region
• Ability to be based within 45 minutes of a major airport
