A growing industrial products and services organization is seeking a Sales Representative to manage and expand a well-established territory across Northeast New Jersey and Southeast New York. This is an outside sales role focused on developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and driving long-term revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing book of business while identifying and developing new customer opportunities throughout the territory
  • Prospect, qualify, and pursue new accounts through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and relationship-building activities
  • Conduct customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
  • Develop proposals, negotiate agreements, and close new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong business-to-business relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of customer service and support
  • Monitor market activity, customer trends, and competitive opportunities within the territory
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities, and customer interactions
  • Consistently follow up on leads, opportunities, and customer requests to drive long-term account growth
  • Represent the company professionally and serve as a trusted resource for customers throughout the sales process

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales, territory management, business development, or related customer-facing experience
  • Proven ability to generate new business while maintaining and growing existing accounts
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage a territory, and prioritize multiple opportunities effectively
  • Experience developing relationships with decision-makers and navigating complex customer organizations
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and driven to exceed sales goals
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and general business software
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
