Position Details & Responsibilities

A growing commercial construction organization is seeking a Tool & Equipment Associate to support its operations team at a facility in the Greater Seattle area. This hands-on role is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and preparing tools and equipment for use on active construction projects while ensuring everything is safe, reliable, and ready for deployment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with construction tools and equipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, clean, and prepare power tools and equipment for use on construction projects
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs on battery-powered, gas-powered, and electrical tools and temporary power equipment
  • Ensure all tools and equipment meet manufacturer specifications and company safety standards
  • Tag equipment based on inspection results and coordinate warranty repairs when applicable
  • Organize and track equipment, ensuring items are returned to the appropriate inventory locations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following established safety procedures
  • Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure equipment is available when needed
  • Assist with inventory organization, equipment tracking, and other operational tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in tools, equipment, or construction operations
  • Previous experience working with construction tools, equipment rental, equipment repair, maintenance, or a related industry preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical safety and safe operating practices
  • Ability to diagnose minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
