A growing equipment dealership organization is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to support equipment sales and rentals within an assigned county territory in Eastern Tennessee. This is an outside sales role focused on building relationships, developing new business, and supporting existing customers in the construction and equipment markets.

This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated sales professional who enjoys working in the field, building long-term customer relationships, and helping customers find the right equipment solutions for their operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an assigned sales territory through daily customer visits, prospecting, and relationship development
  • Sell and rent compact construction equipment and related product lines
  • Conduct equipment demonstrations and support customers throughout the sales process
  • Promote parts, service, and aftermarket support capabilities to customers
  • Develop sales strategies to grow market share and exceed territory goals
  • Maintain strong communication with internal departments including Parts, Service, Rental, and Sales
  • Complete sales documentation, rental contracts, CRM activity, and reporting requirements
  • Follow up on leads, customer inquiries, and ongoing opportunities in a timely manner
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer functions as needed
  • Build long-term relationships with contractors, rental companies, and equipment users within the territory

Qualifications

  • Prior outside sales experience within heavy equipment, construction equipment, rental, or related industries preferred
  • Self-driven with strong territory management and organizational abilities
  • Experience conducting equipment demonstrations or working directly with equipment customers preferred
  • CDL or willingness to obtain one in the future is a plus
  • Ability to occasionally travel overnight as needed within the territory
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
