A growing organization within the supply chain and warehouse equipment industry is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to support business development and account growth throughout Southern California. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with strong relationship-building skills, technical aptitude, and experience selling industrial, construction, or warehouse-related solutions.

This position focuses on developing new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with contractors, developers, architects, and end-users while managing projects from initial bid through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a regional sales territory through new business development and account management
  • Build strong relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, warehouse operators, and end-users
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate proposals and estimates
  • Conduct take-offs and assist with pricing, labor calculations, and project scope evaluations
  • Attend jobsite visits, customer meetings, and pre-bid meetings throughout the territory
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, quoting, negotiations, follow-up, and project handoff
  • Maintain strong communication with project management and installation teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Track opportunities, customer activity, and pipeline updates within CRM systems
  • Maintain regular follow-up with customers and actively manage open opportunities
  • Travel throughout the territory to support customers and business development efforts

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of B2B outside sales, account management, or territory sales experience required
  • Experience within industrial equipment, warehouse solutions, material handling, construction, or related industries preferred
  • Strong mechanical, technical, or construction aptitude preferred
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and project documents is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to build relationships and develop long-term customer partnerships
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clean driving record required
