A growing equipment manufacturer is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to support dealer development and equipment sales throughout the Northeast region.

This is a highly technical, relationship-driven B2B sales role focused on supporting equipment dealerships, distributors, and large industrial end users. The ideal candidate will have a strong heavy equipment background combined with hands-on technical knowledge and proven field sales experience.

The company is looking for someone who understands complex equipment applications and can work closely with dealers, engineers, and customers to deliver customized equipment solutions within demanding industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing Northeast territory with established dealer and customer relationships
  • Drive B2B sales growth through equipment dealerships, distributors, and strategic industrial accounts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, OEM partners, service teams, and end users
  • Support customers with technical product knowledge, equipment applications, and customized solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on specialized applications and customer requirements
  • Conduct dealer visits, customer meetings, equipment demonstrations, and field support activities throughout the region
  • Support trade shows, industry events, and product launches as needed
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure strong customer support and long-term account growth
  • Maintain CRM activity, sales reporting, and account management documentation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B field sales experience
  • Strong technical and hands-on mechanical background required
  • Prior experience as a technician, product support representative, application specialist, or service professional transitioning into sales strongly preferred
  • Experience with material handling equipment, scrap handling equipment, ports, steel mills, dredging, marine construction, or related industries highly preferred
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, equipment systems, and heavy industrial applications required
  • Strong relationship-building, territory management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% throughout the Northeast region required
  • Prior experience managing large geographic territories and high travel schedules strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required; passport preferred for occasional international travel
