Position Details & Responsibilities

A growing equipment organization is seeking a Parts Manager to lead Parts Department operations in the Northeast Arkansas area. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing inventory management, customer support, warehouse operations, and overall department profitability while supporting a fast-paced service and equipment operation.

The ideal candidate will have strong parts management or warehouse leadership experience within heavy equipment, trucking, material handling, industrial equipment, or related industries. This individual must be highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces while leading a team in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily Parts Department operations including counter sales, inventory management, warehouse workflow, and customer support
  • Lead and support a team consisting of counter sales staff, warehouse personnel, and support employees
  • Manage inventory levels, stock orders, backorders, warranty returns, freight charges, and vendor relationships
  • Work closely with the Service Department to ensure technicians have the parts support needed to minimize customer downtime
  • Monitor department profitability, inventory accuracy, margins, and operational performance
  • Coordinate parts sourcing efforts locally and across branch locations to improve availability and reduce lead times
  • Support both internal and external customers with timely communication, order updates, and problem resolution
  • Work alongside outside sales and other departments to support business growth and customer retention
  • Train, coach, mentor, and develop Parts Department employees while maintaining accountability and strong morale
  • Ensure proper inventory control processes including cycle counts, stock rotation, and dead inventory management

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of parts management, warehouse leadership, or equipment parts experience preferred
  • Experience within heavy equipment, trucking, material handling, industrial equipment, or related industries strongly preferred
  • Strong inventory management, warehouse operations, and customer service background required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with inventory systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office applications preferred
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of equipment parts operations preferred
