A fast-growing, technology-driven logistics organization is seeking a Strategic Account Manager based in North Central or Southeast Texas to support expansion within key construction and equipment markets. This field-based role is focused on building relationships with contractors, rental companies, material suppliers, and construction-related businesses while driving customer growth and long-term account retention.

This opportunity is ideal for a motivated outside sales professional who understands the construction industry, enjoys building relationships in the field, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow relationships with contractors, equipment rental companies, material suppliers, excavators, and construction-related businesses
  • Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, lead qualification, presentations, onboarding, and ongoing account management
  • Generate new business through cold calling, jobsite visits, networking, referrals, and relationship development
  • Conduct in-person meetings, virtual presentations, and product demonstrations with prospective customers
  • Drive customer activation, repeat usage, and long-term account retention within the assigned territory
  • Monitor account activity and proactively identify opportunities for additional business growth
  • Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and leadership teams to ensure strong customer experiences and successful job execution
  • Maintain CRM activity, sales pipeline tracking, and customer communication records
  • Track key performance metrics including customer acquisition, account retention, and revenue growth
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to expand market presence
  • Provide market feedback, competitive insights, and customer trends to leadership

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of outside sales or business development experience within construction, equipment rental, logistics, hauling, or related industries required
  • Strong understanding of construction operations, equipment rental, or jobsite environments preferred
  • Proven ability to build and grow a book of business through relationship-driven sales efforts
  • Existing industry relationships within construction, hauling, excavation, or rental markets strongly preferred
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and territory management skills
  • Comfortable spending significant time in the field meeting with customers and prospects
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales activity records
  • Competitive mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory required
