A well-established equipment organization is seeking a Power Systems Sales Representative to support customers across Western South Dakota. This role focuses on providing power generation and compressed air solutions to contractors, industrial operations, municipalities, and commercial customers throughout the territory.

This is a relationship-driven outside sales role ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and experience selling power generation, industrial, or heavy equipment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow relationships with new and existing customers throughout the assigned territory
  • Sell power generation equipment, compressed air systems, and related support solutions
  • Identify customer needs and recommend equipment and service solutions that improve operational performance
  • Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions with customers both onsite and remotely
  • Prepare quotes, review specifications, and manage the sales process from prospecting through closing
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, account information, and equipment population data
  • Promote aftermarket support including service agreements, parts, and maintenance solutions
  • Travel throughout the territory to conduct customer visits and business development activities
  • Meet or exceed territory goals related to revenue, profitability, and customer growth
  • Participate in product training and maintain knowledge of evolving equipment technologies and industry trends

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of experience selling power generation equipment, industrial equipment, compressed air systems, or related products preferred
  • Project management or technical experience within power systems or industrial equipment environments is a plus
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude required
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate, manage sales opportunities, and close business
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently
  • Strong organizational and CRM management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business systems
  • Engineering background or technical education preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory and occasionally work flexible hours to support customers
