A global aftermarket parts and equipment support organization is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Northeast market. This role can be based near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, or Newark, New Jersey.

This position is focused on developing and managing strategic customer relationships within the material handling, equipment rental, industrial, and heavy equipment industries. The territory is well established with significant existing business, but the organization is looking for a motivated sales professional who can continue expanding market share and strengthening customer partnerships.

This is a high-travel, relationship-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in front of customers and enjoys building long-term business relationships throughout a large territory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an established territory within the material handling, rental, and industrial equipment markets
  • Develop strong relationships with equipment dealers, rental companies, fleet operators, and service organizations
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market share within assigned accounts and regions
  • Maintain and grow an existing book of business while pursuing new customer development opportunities
  • Promote aftermarket parts, service solutions, and support programs to customers
  • Conduct regular onsite customer visits, business reviews, and sales presentations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high levels of customer service and account support
  • Maintain CRM activity, territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline management
  • Attend trade shows, customer events, and industry networking opportunities throughout the territory
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to help drive strategic growth initiatives

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of outside sales, business development, or account management experience within material handling, equipment rental, industrial equipment, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of dealership, rental, or aftermarket parts operations preferred
  • Proven ability to manage and grow large customer relationships across a multi-state territory
  • Existing industry relationships or book of business within the material handling or rental industry highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with strong territory management and organizational abilities
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with relevant industry experience
