Position Details & Responsibilities

A growing construction organization is seeking a Tool & Equipment Associate to support operations from its Northern California facility. This hands-on role is responsible for inspecting, testing, tracking, and maintaining tools and equipment that support active construction projects across multiple job sites.

This position is a key part of the company’s operations and logistics team and is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with construction tools, equipment, and jobsite support operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, clean, and prepare construction tools and equipment for jobsite use
  • Track repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment status within inventory systems
  • Perform inspections and minor repairs on battery-powered, gas-powered, and electric tools and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and replacing worn components
  • Ensure tools and equipment meet manufacturer specifications and operational standards before deployment
  • Identify equipment covered under warranty and coordinate repair or replacement activities
  • Green-tag equipment approved for use and red-tag equipment that does not meet safety or operational standards
  • Return equipment to the appropriate warehouse or inventory location based on status and readiness
  • Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to prioritize urgent repair or jobsite needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient work environment
  • Develop familiarity with inventory items, equipment applications, and warehouse systems

Qualifications

 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude required
  • Previous experience working with construction tools, rental equipment, industrial equipment, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Experience inspecting, maintaining, or repairing tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical safety and safe equipment handling practices
  • Ability to diagnose and complete minor repairs on construction tools and light equipment
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment supporting active construction projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse, operations, and field personnel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Excel preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
