Position Details & Responsibilities
An established equipment rental organization is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to support growth across California’s Central Valley. This role is focused on building and maintaining customer relationships while driving rental revenue within construction, agriculture, and industrial markets.
This is a field-based position with a strong emphasis on account management, customer service, and business development. The ideal candidate will have experience in equipment rental or heavy equipment sales and a strong understanding of the local market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer relationships within the assigned Central Valley territory
- Identify new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts
- Promote rental equipment solutions based on customer needs and jobsite requirements
- Conduct regular customer visits, jobsite meetings, and follow-ups to ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate equipment availability, delivery, and service support
- Prepare quotes, negotiate rental agreements, and close business opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline tracking, and forecasting
- Represent the company at local industry events and networking opportunities
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in equipment rental, heavy equipment sales, or a related industry
- Strong understanding of construction, agriculture, or industrial equipment applications
- Proven ability to build relationships and grow a territory
- Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the territory
