Our client, an OEM in the heavy equipment industry, is seeking a Senior Market Research Analyst to support strategic decision-making through actionable insights on global market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.

This is a remote role and will focus on aerial work products and mining equipment, collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to shape go-to-market strategies and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead market research projects focused on mining and aerial work equipment.
  • Analyze industry trends, customer insights, and global market opportunities to inform strategic plans.
  • Monitor competitor activity, including pricing, product launches, and innovation trends.
  • Conduct and synthesize primary and secondary research into clear, actionable reports for leadership.
  • Evaluate the impact of regulatory and geographic trends on product strategy.
  • Collaborate with sales, product development, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to research best practices.

Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 4+ years of market research experience, ideally in construction, mining, or heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and research tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Python, Qualtrics).
  • Strong understanding of B2B industrial markets and value chains.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience presenting insights to executive leadership.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CRM and BI platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Advanced statistical modeling and data visualization skills.
