Position Details & Responsibilities
Our client, a leading provider of material handling and industrial equipment solutions, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee their service operations in Western Pennsylvania.
Candidates must have previous experience with mobile equipment or dirt/earth moving equipment
This role will manage a large team of field technicians along with dispatch, billing, and support staff to ensure efficient service delivery and strong customer satisfaction. This individual will oversee scheduling, dispatch, billing, and service writing, while driving performance, safety, and customer service across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of field technicians, dispatchers, and billing/service staff.
- Oversee daily service operations, ensuring timely response to customer needs.
- Monitor department performance, KPIs, and profitability.
- Implement best practices for scheduling, dispatching, and workflow efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive service.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members to strengthen department capabilities.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of service management or supervisory experience in mobile equipment, heavy equipment, material handling, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of diesel-powered equipment (e.g., lift trucks, forklifts, railcar movers, construction equipment).
- Previous experience in mobile or dirt/earth moving equipment
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a large, diverse team.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, performance metrics, and departmental goals.
