Position Details & Responsibilities
Our client, a well-established equipment dealer, is seeking a Compact Equipment Sales Manager to lead their compact equipment sales team across a multi-state territory. Candidates can be based in Southwest North Carolina. This role is responsible for driving growth, building market share, and developing a high-performing sales organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales leader to oversee a large territory, develop a growing team, and make a significant impact in the compact equipment market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of compact equipment sales representatives.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance of the sales team.
- Track territory performance, set goals, and ensure consistent customer service across all markets.
- Work closely with leadership and product support teams to align sales strategies with business objectives.
- Represent the company and its products at customer sites, industry events, and trade shows.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales management experience, preferably in compact construction equipment or a related industry.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate sales teams.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Competitive, goal-oriented, and driven to achieve results.
- Ability to travel overnight within the region as required.
- Must meet requirements for driving record and DOT card eligibility.
