Position Details & Responsibilities

Our client, an equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Director of Aftermarket Development to lead their aftermarket division based in the Southeast.

This senior leadership role will oversee parts sales, customer service support, and the development of a new customer success team dedicated to strengthening dealer relationships.

** Candidates MUST be proven leaders with experience in the forklift industry **

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of direct reports, including building and overseeing a new customer success team that supports key dealer partners
  • Grow aftermarket revenue and profitability through effective dealer engagement, proactive customer support, and a data-driven pricing strategy
  • Oversee all aftermarket sales operations, including parts lifecycle management and customer service technical support
  • Develop and implement strategic goals, budgets, and KPIs for aftermarket growth and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with leadership and marketing teams to improve dealer programs, resolve issues, and drive long-term customer success
  • Maintain full P&L responsibility for the aftermarket division

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in aftermarket sales, customer service, or business development within the forklift/material handling industry (required)
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and building new programs or departments
  • Strong skills in pricing strategy, parts management, and dealer development
  • Experience managing P&L for a sizable business unit
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
