A well-established, equipment rental company with multiple locations is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the Southeast to lead the organization into its next phase of growth.

Reporting directly to ownership, this role will be responsible for driving strategic expansion, operational excellence, and long-term profitability while preserving the company’s strong customer-focused culture. The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience in the equipment rental industry, with a proven track record of scaling operations, building high-performing teams, and delivering measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans to expand market share, customer base, and profitability across all locations
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, operational consistency, and adherence to company values
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the management team to support long-term organizational success
  • Partner with ownership to define business objectives, investment priorities, and performance goals
  • Identify new market opportunities, service offerings, and partnerships to drive sustained growth
  • Ensure operational excellence in rental fleet management, service quality, and customer experience
  • Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and ensure strong return on investment for all growth initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven company culture

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in the equipment rental industry, with a demonstrated history of successfully growing a multi-location rental business
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Ability to balance hands-on operational oversight with long-term strategic vision
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred
