A well-established construction firm is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee its warehouse operations in a major Southern California city. This role supports construction job sites throughout multiple states by managing the flow of tools, equipment, and consumables used across a variety of projects. 

The Warehouse Manager will lead day-to-day operations of a large facility and oversee a small but growing team. This is a hands-on role, with approximately 70% of the time spent executing tasks and 30% focused on training, mentoring, and process improvement. The ideal candidate has experience with construction materials and consumables, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can drive growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily warehouse operations, including inventory, shipping/receiving, and logistics.
  • Supervise a team of warehouse staff and drivers; train and mentor employees on equipment and safety.
  • Increase weekly shipment volume through improved processes.
  • Manage inventory of ~725 SKUs, including rental equipment and consumables.
  • Oversee and enforce OSHA safety standards and monthly compliance training.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal project managers and field personnel to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Support equipment tracking, preventive maintenance, and proper storage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Utilize systems including AS400, ZenDesk, and Stage 100 for inventory and workflow management.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of warehouse or operations experience, preferably in construction tools or equipment.
  • Experience managing small teams and leading process improvement efforts.
  • Strong working knowledge of forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other warehouse equipment.
  • OSHA 10 certification required; Hazmat and Lean Six Sigma a plus.
  • Proficient with inventory and warehouse management software.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to work Monday–Friday from 6am–4pm and one Saturday per quarter for inventory.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to train others on equipment.
