Position Details & Responsibilities
A leading power solutions provider is seeking a Power Generation Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow sales efforts across the region of Virginia and West Virginia. Candidates should be based in Eastern Virginia.
This role will oversee a regional sales team, drive strategic account development, and provide technical guidance in the power generation and electrical systems sector. Candidates with a background in power generation, electrical systems, or industrial equipment sales are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sales efforts across the assigned region, including Virginia and West Virginia.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, driving performance and goal achievement
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans for the region
- Oversee customer accounts and serve as a senior escalation point
- Track projects from early development through close of sale
- Collaborate with internal teams on project coordination and customer support
- Deliver regular sales reports and updates to senior leadership
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to build relationships and identify new opportunities
- Review and interpret technical diagrams and provide product guidance to the team and clients
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in power generation, electrical systems, or related industrial equipment sales
- Experience leading a sales team or managing a sales territory
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer relationship skills
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred
- Willingness to travel throughout the region as needed
