Position Details & Responsibilities
A leading heavy equipment dealership is seeking a Controller in Texas to manage financial operations, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with accounting procedures. This role involves overseeing cash flow, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial audits while supporting company programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Support
- Assist accounting staff with online banking, manufacturer payments, and sales tax processing.
- Work with purchasing and HR on notes payable and accounts payable.
- Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed across departments.
- Implement financial procedures as directed by leadership.
Financial Management
- Maintain and monitor cash flow projections.
- Reconcile bank statements and audit general ledger accounts for accuracy.
- Enter journal entries and track expenses.
- Prepare GL summaries and update prepaid insurance and liability worksheets.
Company Programs & Compliance
- Support company initiatives and handle special projects as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting procedures.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and financial tracking systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and GAAP accounting.
- Experience with online banking, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in computerized accounting systems and office software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional presence in the workplace.
