Our client is seeking a Used Equipment Broker based in Northern California. 

This role is crucial for expanding the company’s network, sourcing high-quality used equipment, and driving profitable sales. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the heavy equipment industry and excel at building lasting relationships with customers and suppliers. This position offers the opportunity to significantly impact the company’s growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Procurement: Identify, appraise, and purchase used equipment from rental companies, dealers, and other sources. Negotiate purchasing terms to maximize profitability while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Sales Development: Develop and execute strategies to drive profitable sales of used equipment within the region. Build relationships with existing customers and generate new leads to expand the customer base.
  • Customer Relations: Establish and nurture strong connections with rental companies, dealers, and end-users to create long-term business partnerships. Act as the face of the company in the region and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, and inventory using CRM and Excel. Prepare reports on sales activities, forecasts, and market analysis for senior management.
  • Revenue & Profit Maximization: Appraise equipment value effectively, considering market demand and condition, and negotiate pricing to achieve targeted revenue and profit margins.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in heavy equipment sales and procurement.
  • Proficient with Excel and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of the heavy equipment market, including appraisals and negotiations.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and self-driven.
  • Willingness to travel within the region to build and maintain supplier and customer relationships.
