A heavy equipment dealership is seeking an experienced Regional Manager of Sales in California to help drive sales performance, develop sales teams, and support continued business growth. This position will work closely with regional and branch leadership to strengthen sales execution, improve customer engagement, and identify opportunities to increase overall effectiveness.

The ideal candidate is a proven equipment sales leader who combines strong business acumen with a passion for coaching and developing sales professionals. This role requires someone who can see the bigger picture while working directly with teams to turn strategy into results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales and business development initiatives across the assigned region.
  • Partner with regional and branch leadership to achieve sales and growth objectives.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop sales professionals to improve individual and team performance.
  • Develop and deliver sales training programs and tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness, customer engagement, and market performance.
  • Support the execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor performance and help develop action plans to address opportunities and achieve business goals.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer focus.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading and developing heavy equipment or related industry sales teams.
  • Strong sales, business development, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach sales professionals and improve team performance.
  • Ability to translate business strategies into actionable sales initiatives.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working across multiple branches, territories, or teams preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
