A heavy equipment organization is seeking a Vice President of Software Solutions based in California to lead the strategy, growth, and execution of its expanding construction technology business.

This role extends beyond technology sales and will have responsibility for the entire customer technology lifecycle - from initial equipment integration and onboarding through adoption, utilization, service, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can bring together sales, operations, service, and technical teams while establishing technology as a measurable value driver for both customers and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the organization’s overall technology and software solutions strategy.
  • Oversee the growth, performance, and profitability of the technology business.
  • Lead and develop teams across sales, operations, service, and technical support.
  • Drive customer adoption and long-term utilization of technology solutions.
  • Partner with leadership across the organization to align technology with broader business objectives.
  • Establish performance goals and identify opportunities for continued growth and improvement.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and new business opportunities.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within heavy equipment, construction technology, software solutions, dealership operations, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience leading multiple teams, departments, or functional leaders.
  • Strong understanding of technology solutions and their application within equipment or construction environments.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership and strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience developing strategy, growing a business, and leading organizational change.
  • Strong executive communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to develop high-performing teams and translate strategic goals into measurable results.
