A technology organization is seeking an experienced Software Solutions Sales Manager based in either Oregon or California to lead the growth, performance, and strategic direction of its construction technology sales team. This role will oversee a portfolio of advanced solutions supporting the heavy equipment and construction industries, including positioning technology, machine control, reality capture, digital construction workflows, and related software solutions.
The ideal candidate combines construction technology expertise with proven sales leadership and P&L management experience. This individual will be responsible for developing the sales team, expanding market share, strengthening key customer and manufacturer relationships, and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the construction technology and software solutions sales team.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue, profitability, market share, and new customer growth.
- Set performance expectations and hold the team accountable for sales goals and business plan execution.
- Analyze territory performance, product mix, customer penetration, competitive activity, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, OEMs, technology manufacturers, and industry partners.
- Support the sales team with strategic accounts, complex opportunities, pricing, and customer negotiations.
- Maintain P&L responsibility, including departmental expenses, profitability, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
- Oversee inventory strategy, asset management, inventory turns, and return on assets.
- Manage sales compensation programs and collaborate with internal teams on financial and operational initiatives.
- Partner with equipment sales and rental teams to expand customer relationships and technology adoption.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
- Travel up to 50% to customer locations, company facilities, vendor locations, and industry events.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant sales experience, ideally within construction technology, heavy equipment technology, software solutions, or a closely related market.
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing sales teams.
- Proven success managing a department or business unit with significant revenue and profitability responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing sales strategies and annual business plans.
- Strong understanding of technology solutions used within the construction and heavy equipment industries.
- Experience with solutions such as GNSS/GPS positioning, machine control, surveying technology, reality capture, digital construction workflows, or related software platforms strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with major heavy equipment OEMs and construction technology manufacturers is highly desirable.
- Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing P&L performance, forecasts, budgets, and KPIs.
- Strong executive communication, negotiation, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 50%.
