A growing heavy equipment dealership in West Virginia is seeking an experienced Parts & Service Director to lead aftermarket operations across multiple locations. This newly created leadership position will oversee parts and service performance, develop consistent processes across the organization, and drive improvements in profitability, productivity, customer service, and employee development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong construction or agricultural equipment dealership background with experience leading parts and/or service operations. This individual will initially spend significant time across the company’s locations, building relationships with employees, evaluating current operations, and establishing the processes and accountability needed to support continued growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for parts and service operations across multiple dealership locations.
  • Lead and develop Service Managers and aftermarket teams while building trust and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Evaluate current operations and establish consistent processes, procedures, and KPIs across locations.
  • Improve the financial performance and profitability of parts and service operations.
  • Monitor departmental performance, including revenue, expenses, productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strengthen warranty processes and ensure claims are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify operational challenges and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Partner with branch and executive leadership to establish goals and support company growth.
  • Improve communication and coordination between Parts, Service, Sales, and other departments.
  • Ensure satellite service operations receive appropriate leadership and support.
  • Develop employees and managers while promoting a strong culture of customer service and accountability.
  • Travel regularly between locations, with heavier travel expected initially and reduced travel as processes and leadership structures are established.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience within heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or a related dealership environment.
  • Strong understanding of parts and service operations, dealership processes, and aftermarket profitability.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple locations strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve underperforming operations and establish effective processes and KPIs.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental P&L performance.
  • Knowledge of equipment warranty administration and manufacturer processes.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop managers and frontline employees.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the dealership network.
