Crane Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Service Technician to join our team. This position requires a hands-on individual with experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance who will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining cranes both in house and at customer locations. You will be based out of our St. Clairsville, OH location, also traveling as needed to various job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Travel and Service: Work in-house or travel to customer locations as needed to complete scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, and urgent call-out repairs on hydraulic, all terrain, rough terrain, truck mounted, and lattice crawler cranes.

• Diagnostics: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems on lifting equipment.

• Repairs: Replace worn or broken components, align shafts and couplings, and rig or install new crane systems.

• Documentation: Complete accurate service reports, log parts used, and document equipment status.

• Communication: Collaborate with the service department and customers to provide high-quality service and resolve technical issues.

• Safety Compliance: Maintain compliance with safety protocols and company standards while working in production environments.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical or Vocational Certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical Fields preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a crane service technician preferred.
• Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel extensively, with some overnight travel, as required.  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions: The Crane Service Technician position will work indoors but may also work outdoors in a construction environment. The job may require working in adverse weather conditions and at heights. The job may also require working long hours, weekends, and holidays.
