Position Details & Responsibilities

A growing North American equipment manufacturer is seeking an entry-level Product Demonstration Representative to support its sales team by conducting hands-on equipment demonstrations throughout the United States.

This position is designed for someone early in their equipment career. Extensive industry or sales experience is NOT required. It could be a great next step for a junior technician, equipment operator, mechanic, or other hands-on equipment professional who wants to move away from a traditional technician role and build a career on the sales side of the industry.

Location: Remote – Candidates must live in the Eastern Time Zone near a major commercial airport.

Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout the United States to conduct equipment demonstrations at customer locations.
  • Learn to safely operate and demonstrate the company's equipment in real-world applications.
  • Show customers key equipment features, capabilities, applications, and maintenance advantages.
  • Work alongside sales representatives and dealers during demonstrations and customer visits.
  • Answer basic product questions and develop deeper technical knowledge through ongoing training and field experience.
  • Communicate with equipment operators, technicians, contractors, municipalities, dealers, and other customers.
  • Assist with trade shows, dealer events, and other product demonstrations.
  • Maintain and prepare demonstration equipment for customer presentations.
  • Provide feedback to the sales team following demonstrations and customer interactions.
  • Work remotely from a home office when not traveling.

Qualifications

  • This is an entry-level / early-career position; extensive equipment or sales experience is not required.
  • Some hands-on exposure to construction, road maintenance, municipal, compact, truck-mounted, agricultural, or similar equipment preferred.
  • Technicians, junior mechanics, equipment operators, or other early-career equipment professionals are encouraged to apply.
  • Comfortable operating machinery and learning new equipment.
  • Personable and confident communicating with customers in the field.
  • Mechanically inclined with an interest in learning how equipment works and explaining it to others.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively throughout the United States, including consecutive days of travel during busy periods.
  • Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone near a major commercial airport.
  • Interest in eventually moving into equipment sales is a plus.
