Position Details & Responsibilities

About Attach2

Attach2 is a premium excavator attachment manufacturer with over 30 years of history and proprietary IP design. We are the market leader in New Zealand and Australia and are building our US dealer network aggressively. We work with excavator dealers across the USA to supply couplers, buckets, tilt hitches, and application-specific attachments for the world`s leading machine brands: John Deere, Hitachi, Kobelco, Komatsu, Link Belt, Case, and Takeuchi.

We do not sell directly to end users. We build dealer partnerships. Every RSM is responsible for identifying, acquiring, onboarding, and growing a network of excavator dealers in their territory using a defined sales playbook and methodology.

The Role

This is a field-based Regional Sales Manager role. You will own your territory end to end — from prospecting and qualifying new dealers, through to running structured discovery meetings, building joint demand plans, executing the Attach2 onboarding sequence, and managing ongoing dealer relationships to grow revenue.

This role is NOT for someone who wants to do things their own way. We have a defined sales process, a structured playbook, and a 10-stage scorecard system. We expect it to be followed with discipline. You will be coached against it. Your pipeline will be reviewed against it. Your results will be measured against it.

We are looking for someone who sees process as a competitive advantage — not as a constraint.

What You Will Do

Territory and pipeline management

  • Maintain a minimum of 5 active new dealer opportunities in your territory pipeline at all times (Active means actively moving in conversation and moving through the stages throughout the month)
  • Complete pre-call research and ICP scoring (Scorecard 1) before any outreach — no cold calling without preparation
  • Run structured multi-channel outreach sequences for every target dealer using phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person visits
  • Log every contact, outcome, and next step in HubSpot before moving on. No exceptions.

Discovery and qualification

  • Execute structured discovery meetings using the Attach2 Past/Present/Future question framework and FACWAN methodology
  • Qualify dealers against the ICP scoring tool — pursue above 50%, park below it
  • Identify a compelling reason for change before writing a proposal — discovery is not complete until the reason for change is named and confirmed
  • Book and send calendar invite for next meetings before leaving every meeting

Demand planning and commercial execution

  • Build joint demand plans with every new dealer before their first order — the plan is built with them, not for them
  • Anchor every commercial negotiation to the demand plan. Discounts are tied to committed volumes, never given freely
  • Execute the full 10-scorecard sales process — Opportunity Review through Dealer Success — with discipline and self-assessment
  • Get explicit commitment at each stage. A nod in a meeting is not a commitment.

Onboarding and account management

  • Execute the Attach2 onboarding sequence with every new dealer: internal handoff, dealer welcome within 48 hours, first order over-serviced, 3 orders in 90 days target
  • Activate “Dealer Dans” at every branch — multi-thread every A and B tier account across Sales Manager, Floor Reps, and Parts Manager
  • Run Account Care Meetings on the prescribed cadence for each tier: Platinum/Gold monthly, Silver quarterly, Bronze every 6 months
  • Update demand plans monthly. Pipeline reviews every Friday. HubSpot current at all times.

Time discipline

  • Admin completed before 8am every day. After 8am, you are talking to customers.
  • Three daily selling blocks — prospecting, account management, and meeting planning — protected every office day
  • Voice notes to internal admin immediately after every field meeting, before driving to the next

Location:

  • Role is based at Twin Cities Metro office, within reasonable commuting distance, not a remote role (when not travelling in territory).  Relocation assistance could be considered for susccessful candidate.

Qualifications

Strong candidates will bring

  • A track record of measurable results in dealer or distribution channel sales — specific numbers, not just territory stories
  • Experience following a structured sales methodology — you can describe a process you were given, explain how you executed it, and show results against it
  • History of building demand plans, joint forecasts, or volume commitments with channel partners
  • Excavator, construction equipment, or heavy machinery industry background (preferred, not required)
  • Comfort with CRM systems used as a daily operating tool, not an occasional reporting task
  • Experience onboarding new dealers or distributors and activating them to transact within 90 days
  • Self-starters who report to a system, not just to a manager

What This Role Is Not

We have included this section intentionally. It will save your time and ours.

If any of the following describes you, this is not the right role.

  • This is not a role where you can do it your own way. The playbook exists for a reason. We expect it followed, not adapted to personal style.
  • This is not a role for someone who sees CRM as optional, or who prefers to keep the pipeline in their head.
  • This is not a role for someone whose last five years of experience is direct B2B sales with no channel or dealer management background.
  • This is not a role for someone who wants to spend most of their time at a desk. 60-70% of your time is in the field, visiting dealer branches.
  • This is not a role where tenure equals advancement. Results against the scorecard and the playbook determine your trajectory.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based incentive structure
  • Company vehicle and travel expenses covered, expense card.  Company Mobile Phone, Laptop, etc.
  • HubSpot CRM with Breeze AI pre-configured for the Attach2 methodology — you will be set up to execute, not left to build your own tools
  • Structured onboarding including full playbook training, product certification, and joint field calls with senior leadership
  • A defined career path tied to measurable performance outcomes, not politics.
  • A growing business with genuine market opportunity — Attach2 is newer to the US market, which means greenfield territory and real upside

How to Apply

Apply on Employment Hero web link above.  Applications must include:

  1. A brief cover note (not a form letter) that tells us which territory you are applying for and why you are the right candidate for it — be specific about your channel sales experience
  2. Your resume, with quantified results included where possible (%, $, units — not just job descriptions)
