Position Details & Responsibilities

An established equipment organization is seeking an experienced Parts Specialist to support its refuse equipment customers from one of several locations in the South Central U.S. Candidates can be based in Southeast Texas, South Central Texas, or Central Oklahoma.

This position combines parts sales, counter support, customer service, and inventory management and is ideal for someone with strong refuse industry knowledge who understands the importance of getting customers the right parts quickly.

The Parts Specialist will work directly with customers and internal service teams while helping grow parts revenue through responsive service, product knowledge, and relationship development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day parts counter activity and provide responsive customer support
  • Handle inbound calls, identify customer parts needs, and provide accurate pricing and availability
  • Sell refuse equipment parts and related products to new and existing customers
  • Prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up on open opportunities
  • Identify the correct replacement parts and recommend solutions based on customer equipment and applications
  • Manage inventory levels, stocking, replenishment, and parts availability
  • Monitor backorders and open orders to ensure timely fulfillment and customer communication
  • Coordinate with service technicians and other departments to support equipment repairs
  • Develop strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to increase parts sales
  • Maintain accurate inventory, order, and customer records within company systems
  • Maintain an organized and efficient parts department

Qualifications

 

  • Refuse equipment industry experience required
  • Previous parts counter, parts sales, Parts Specialist, or Parts Manager experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of refuse equipment, replacement parts, and applications
  • Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and order fulfillment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Sales-minded with the ability to identify opportunities and develop repeat business
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using parts catalogs, inventory systems, and computer-based ordering tools
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, vendors, and internal teams
