Position Details & Responsibilities

A leading manufacturer of attachments for construction equipment is seeking an experienced Territory Manager to grow sales and strengthen its dealer network throughout the Western Territory. Candidates should be based within 45 minutes of a major airport in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, or Wyoming.This field-based role will focus on developing existing dealer relationships, identifying new distribution opportunities, and expanding market share across the territory.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in compact equipment, attachments, OEM sales, dealerships, or equipment rental and is comfortable managing a large geographic territory with significant travel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing dealer relationships while identifying opportunities to increase sales and market share
  • Identify, recruit, and develop new dealers in high-potential markets throughout the territory
  • Improve performance within underdeveloped dealer accounts through training, relationship development, and strategic sales support
  • Support national rental customers and promote equipment attachment solutions across applicable markets
  • Meet or exceed territory sales goals, KPIs, and profitability objectives
  • Develop new customer, product, and market opportunities to support continued regional growth
  • Provide product knowledge, quotations, and application support to dealers and customers
  • Gather customer and market feedback and communicate opportunities for product or service improvements to internal teams
  • Participate in dealer meetings, product introductions, trade shows, and industry events
  • Maintain accurate territory reporting, sales activity, expenses, and performance metrics

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales or territory management experience
  • Compact construction equipment, attachments, OEM, dealership, or equipment rental experience strongly preferred
  • Experience developing and managing a dealer/distributor network preferred
  • Proven ability to grow existing accounts while developing new business
  • Strong understanding of equipment applications and B2B distribution channels
  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage a large geographic territory
  • Excellent communication, customer service, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel 50% or more, including overnight travel
  • Reside within 45 minutes of a major airport in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, or Wyoming
